I know my dad and lots of his siblings are listed as having been born on Aunt Kate Fortenberry’s place. Do you know exactly where it was located. Is it still standing?
If you look on the map on the home page, there are two sites marked. The one in Texas is the Granny Kate house site. You can see a larger map by clicking on the link below the map. If you set it to satellite and zoom in, you will see the new house that Cousin Claire built. Sadly, the house burned down about 20 years ago. I was raised in that house, and it was a huge loss to us all. Thanks for asking about it.
